Accessing and visualizing information is critical for doing and communicating science.  The Wildland Fire Program uses R software and newer tools like Google Earth Engine to link existing data sets, develop analytical solutions to research and management questions, and present data clearly and compellingly.  We are indeed living in a sea of information, and the best data are those that get used.  To that end, the program actively works with NREM students and other collaborators to explore all types of ecological, climatological, and social data in space and time.
